EPDM hose

Ethylene propylene diene rubber

The EPDM hose is a very robust hose suitable for both indoor and outdoor use. It offers excellent behavior under pressure (up to 20 bar) and is also very good in terms of resistance. The hose offers a very high resistance to chemicals (acids, bases, polar solvents, ...) with the exception of mineral oils and fats. The hose can also impress with its very good behavior in terms of diffusion resistance. The large temperature range (usually between -40 ° C and 120 ° C) is another plus point that the EPDM hose can claim for itself. In terms of flexibility, however, the rather rigid hose has to give way to many other hoses (FKM, PUR, silicone, ...).

The EPDM hose is used, among other things, in cooling systems in electronics, process and analysis technology as well as in chemical and biological areas, including medical technology.

FKM hose

Fluororubber (tetrafluoroethylene)

The FKM hose is an extremely durable and also very flexible hose, which thanks to its excellent properties can be used in many smaller as well as larger areas. The hose can not only be used in the long term, it is also very resistant (inert) to chemicals, oils and fats. Further plus points of the FKM hose are its temperature resistance (mostly between -20 ° C and 200 ° C, briefly up to 260 ° C), its flame-retardant behavior and its impressively high diffusion resistance. Only when it comes to pressure (up to 1 bar) does this all-rounder have to admit defeat to some other hoses.

The FKM hose is used, among other things, in cooling systems that are found in laboratories or in adverse environments (e.g. with high chemical requirements) in industry.

PA hose

Polyamide

The PA hose is an inexpensive and relatively rigid hose that, compared to the PE hose, can be used at higher temperatures and higher pressures. Its high resistance to chemicals, oils and fats as well as its extremely long durability round off the hose perfectly.

The PA hose is used, among other things, in cooling systems in which higher temperatures and harsher production environments occur.

PE hose

Polyethylene

The PE hose is an inexpensive and relatively rigid hose, which is ideal for use in the food industry. Its high resistance to chemicals, oils, fats, acids and alkalis as well as its extremely long durability make the PE hose the ideal means of transport in cooling systems.

The PE hose is used, among other things, in cooling systems in the food industry, which have to be regularly disinfected from the outside.

PTFE hose

Polytetrafluorethylene

The PTFE hose is a universally applicable hose with excellent properties. In addition to its very good behavior at pressure (up to 10 bar), its resistance is also an absolute plus point, as this hose has an extremely high resistance to chemicals, fats and oils and also has a very high diffusion resistance. Due to its flame retardancy and the extremely large temperature range (mostly between -200 ° C and 260 ° C), the PFTE hose is the non-plus-ultra for almost all applications. Only when it comes to flexibility does the rather rigid hose have to give way to many other hoses (PUR, PVC, silicone, ...).

The PTFE hose is used, among other things, in cooling systems in electronics, process and analysis technology as well as in chemical and biological areas, including medical technology.

Tip: With the use of angled connections, compact and easy-to-maintain and expandable circuits can also be created with rigid hoses.

PUR hose

Polyurethane

The PUR hose - similar to the PVC hose - can be used universally and offers high flexibility and high kink resistance. The hose is ideal for transporting coolants and has a very long shelf life. In addition, the hose can handle a high pressure of up to 10 bar.

The PUR hose is used, among other things, in normal cooling systems with lower temperatures. This hose can often be found in the computer and server area.

PVC hose

Polyvinyl chloride

The PVC hose is a hose that can be used universally and is mainly used in water cooling systems for computers and servers, as long as there are no special requirements in terms of temperature or pressure. In addition to medium kink resistance and flexibility, the PVC hose can impress above all with its low price.

If a PVC hose is also to be used at higher pressure, you can use PVC hoses with a pressure insert. With these, the possible pressure is sometimes significantly increased at the expense of flexibility and temperature resistance.

Similar to the PUR hose, the PVC hose is used in a large number of cooling systems in which no extreme conditions and temperatures prevail. These are, for example, computer and server systems.
