Coolant tank for water cooling
The water cooling systems we develop and produce differ according to their intended use.In addition to coolers, heat exchangers, pumps and hoses, an expansion tank (coolant tank) is usually installed. But why is such an coolant tank needed in a water cooling system?
From a purely technical point of view, the coolant tank within the water cooling system serves to stabilize the drainage process. The drain process in a cooling system includes evaporation as well as temperature expansion of the coolant during operation.
In addition to these basic tasks, however, the coolant tank also offers other useful functions. For example, an expansion tank makes it very easy to fill a cooling system or top up missing coolant, since most tanks are very easy to read off the amount of liquid they still contain.
Especially when filling a system, an coolant tank is indispensable, as it plays a decisive role in venting the water cooling system. If the cooling system contains larger amounts of air within the circuit, this can sometimes massively impair the performance of the system.
